  2. 2. Click on Power Options icon.
  3. 3. Click on the Hibernate tab.
  4. 4. Check the Enable Hibernation Support checkbox.
The shutdown dialog box of Windows XP doesn’t offer any longer the hibernation button. To hibernate your computer follow thes steps:.
  1. 1. Click Start - Turn Off Computer.
  2. 2. Point the standby button and maintain the shift key pushed.
  3. 3. A hibernation button appears, click it while still holding the shift key.
